Taormina

Although it’s a 1.5 hour’s drive to Noto it would be remiss of us not to mention the stunning hilltop town of Taormina on the east coast of Sicily. Sitting near the active volcano Mount Etna the town is famous for its Teatro Antico a Greek-Roman theatre which is still used today. From here cliffs drop dramatically to the sea and white sandy beaches, one of which connects to the tiny island of Isola Bella, a nature reserve. Sister boutique hotels Hotel Villa Ducale and Hotel Villa Carlotta boast stunning positions in the town with breathtaking views across the coastline. If you have time, you may want to split your vacation and spend a few nights in Taormina and a couple of nights at Q92 Noto Hotel. Alternatively, our concierge can arrange a day trip to Taormina and/or Mount Etna followed by a dip in the pool and a cocktail at Hotel Villa Carlotta before heading back home to Q92 Noto Hotel. Importante sottolineare che I ristorante di Villa Carlotta e Villa Ducale sono tra i più rinomati a Taormina.
